CDs Are Now Available!

Saturday's Radio CDs

Guess what? We've got CDs available again! As you probably know, when we started our Saturday's Radio reissue / remaster program we pulled all of the 'Rob Christensen' CDs from the market. As our albums were reissued under the Saturday's Radio name, we made these new improved versions available as digital downloads through the usual outlets (iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby, Spotify, etc.)

But we weren't sure how to handle CDs. There wasn't, there isn't as of yet, any need to spend thousands of dollars on big batches of professionally manufactured CDs. But we didn't really want to do homemade CD-Rs that attempted to pass themselves off as 'real' CDs either. We wanted something unique for you early adopters, if you will.

So here's what we came up with: We're still making them at home, a few at a time as needed. They're in these cool recycled sleeves. Instead of CD-Rs with stuck-on labels - labels that I now understand can come off and get stuck in car and computer CD players (sorry!) - we're using these cool CD-Rs that look like records. We simply hand-write the disc info on the CD labels. No muss, no fuss. (we tried rubber stamps in an attempt to make the CDs look even more like record labels, but it didn't work). We've printed up sheets with lyrics and credits and put them in each package. Coolest of all, each CD jacket is signed and numbered before being slid into these slick plastic sleeves to help make them look really nice. So each CD is an exclusive, signed-and-numbered-by-the-artist one-of-a-kind item. Want to see how we do it and what they look like? Check out this YouTube video:

You should buy one. Or four. We've got them priced at a very reasonable $9.99 each (Too much? You can still download each album for only $3.99 or test out individual tracks for 79 cents.). CD Baby is handling the distribution and will get them to you real quick-like. Here's the link: http://www.cdbaby.com/Artist/SaturdaysRadio.

By the way, our new Saturday's Radio Survey asks you to pick a 90's band. Please vote!

Take care!
